Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a health care profession that emphasizes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the nervous system, muscular system (includes fascia and connective tissue), and skeletal system (includes bones and joints). Chiropractic manual therapy is the treatment technique employed by Chiropractors that involves using manual techniques on the muscles, joints, ligaments, peripheral nerves, tendons, and fascia. The growing body of scientific evidence in manual therapy has validated chiropractic manual therapy and these techniques have been found to have multiple positive effects on the function, performance and well being of patients. The specific treatment techniques utilized include: hands on or instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy on the muscles, nerves, fascia, tendons, joints, deep tissue massage, spinal and extremity manipulation and mobilization, nerve mobilization and rehabilitation, contemporary medical acupuncture, PNF stretching, corrective and rehabilitation exercises, mind-body techniques (HRV biofeedback training), kinesiotaping, ultrasound therapy, electrotherapy, and orthotic therapy.

The multi-modality approach that we take to chiropractic care, gives us the ability to treat acute and chronic pain, and sports injuries.  As well, our deep understanding of movement gives us the ability to detect and restore movement dysfunctions that could be causing the pain problem and/or impeding performance.
